Client Invitations

Invite clients to connect with your practice through the Habit of Living mobile app.

How it works

You send the invite from Habit Of Care; we automatically email the client.
Client installs the Habit of Living app (iOS/Android) and creates an account with the same email you recorded.
Client accepts your invitation in the app (“Manage My Care” request from your practice).
Connection is established. Data begins to flow according to the client’s sharing preferences, which they can change anytime.
The email must match exactly. If it doesn’t, the client and provider cannot link.

Send a client invitation

Launch your Client List » Select client from list (or your client intake form).
Click Send Invitation. We email the invite immediately.
If an invite already exists, you’ll see a notice and can choose to resend.

What your client does

Install the Habit of Living mobile app (iOS/Android). Use the app—not the website.
Create an account with the exact same email your provider entered in Habit Of Care.
Open the app and you’ll see an invitation to manage care from your provider. Tap Accept to connect.
Choose what data to share; you can update sharing or disconnect at any time.

Track invite status

Pending client approval — Invite sent; awaiting acceptance in the app.
Accepted — Connection active. You’ll see last sync time and shared data indicators.
Declined — Client declined. You can send a new invite if appropriate.
Expired — Client didn’t act in time. Resend the invitation when ready.

Privacy & data sharing

Clients decide what to share. After acceptance, data flows only according to their selections.
Clients can adjust sharing settings or break the connection at any point within the Habit of Living app.

Troubleshooting common issues

Wrong or different email — Update the client’s email in Habit Of Care or ask the client to create their app account with the exact email you entered.
Used the website instead of the app — Ask the client to install and sign in to the Habit of Living mobile app, then accept the invite there.
No invite email received — Have the client check spam/junk and promotions. The email is purely informative and isn't necessary to establish a connection with your client.

Manage connections

From the client’s profile, you can view connection status and which data types are currently shared.
If a client disconnects, the link is immediately removed and data will no longer be available until they reconnect.
